About Good Grime
Good Grime helps you pick a laundry or pet stain product when you care what is in it.
What we do
- We read the public record. For each product we look up EPA Safer Choice, product recall notices, California Prop 65 notices, EWG's cleaning guide, and the maker's own label and ingredient page.
- We line up every brand. The same facts for each product, side by side, so you can see who lists fragrance, who is Safer Choice certified, and what a load or an ounce costs.
- We pick for the job. Each page names one pick for most people and a few for special cases, with the reason in one sentence.
- We show our receipts. Every flag on this site links to the label or public record it came from, with the date we checked it.
Who runs it
Erin Rose, founder and editor. The work here is checking claims against primary sources: labels, safety data sheets and official records.
How we make money
We earn money when you buy through our Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate, Good Grime earns from qualifying purchases. We don't sell products, ads, sponsored posts or rankings.
Rules that keep our picks independent
- Brands can't pay to be included, ranked or picked.
- We pick by fit for the job, not by what pays us more.
- We don't accept free products in exchange for coverage.
- Every product we pick is buyable today, with the price and the date we checked it.
